The Agglo du Pays de Dreux has registered the food well-being at the heart of its priorities.
It is for this reason that the festival ” Festi Bouge Festi Miam “, being part of the device “Eat Moveof the National Health Nutrition Plan initiated in 2001 by the State, is organised.
This dedicated day is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2022from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Châteauneuf-en-Thymerais (Eure-et-Loir), and comes to a festive end to a year of raising awareness on these subjects.
Public health issues
Food and physical activity are public health issues, therefore, throughout the year, the Directorate for Children, Youth and the Family carries out actions aimed at a wide audience. .
The Agglo du Pays de Dreux has chosen to equip itself with a strategic tool, the Project
Territorial foodwhich aims to relocate agriculture and food in the territories.
The Agglo du Pays de Dreux and the Family allowance fund of Eure-et-Loir have signed a family services agreement.
It is in this context that an awareness program was offered in the childcare facilities of the Agglo du Pays de Dreux and more particularly by the Châteauneuf-en-Thymerais team.
A necessity: physical activity from an early age
This project was born out of necessity: to recall the benefits of a regular practice of a physical activity or sport and to alert on the need to seek a balanced diet from an early age.
The teams in charge of children in the structures of the southern sector of the Agglo du Pays de
Dreux have therefore proposed, over the months, a certain number of actions grouped together within the
educational project entitled Well on his plate, well in his sneakers “.
The fun aspect of the actions aimed to convey strong messages to young people and
their families, with several targeted objectives, such as:
- Promote physical activity for well-being and fight against sedentary lifestyle,
- Encourage “better eating” and the consumption of local products,
- Support local actors in the food issue and thus participate in the attractiveness of the territory,
- Raising awareness of “home cooking” and controlling your budget,
- Educate on food balance to promote the fight against any form of disease due to poor lifestyle and poor diet.
The children were thus able to create recipe books, take part in culinary workshops Where
still discover the pleasure of gardening and picking.
Families have also been invited to take part in the project, thanks to the organization of culinary and sports challenges, participation in plant swaps, conferences, etc.
