Dance, music, well-being, languages… La Maison pour tous, the social center in Abbeville, offers a whole range of activities for learning while having fun all year round.

When it comes to choosing the activities that will punctuate our leisure activities this year, the Maison pour tous (MPT) in Abbeville offers to test a first session for free before registering. Many new features enrich the choice. “It is complicated to choose and sometimes we hesitate between several activities. Trying before signing up is really necessary,” assures Valérie Le Cam, executive assistant of the MPT. We try to offer evening and lunchtime slots to also satisfy working people. »

New arrivals in all categories

Relaxation and well-being activities see the continuation of dynamic yoga and pilates classes, started last year. Members can therefore choose between three different types of yoga, and a total of seven activities on the theme.

In terms of dance and physical expression, modern’dance is spread over four slots this year, thus offering better distributed age groups. The teacher, Sandrine Accart also offers an Elgo dance class, this sensual dance that combines “fitness and girly dance and combines cardio and muscle building, presents Valérie Le Cam. It’s aroused a lot of interest, it’s a much-awaited new discipline”. World dances will also be more numerous with still Oriental dances but also Brazilian and Indian dances, under the direction of Rosa Spice.

Children will be able to satisfy their curiosity thanks to the Little Researchers with Leïla Rahouadj, childhood and youth facilitator, who is already carrying out actions with schools. “It is a scientific mediation workshop through games on four themes: the environment, astronomy, robotics and the planet, she explains. We are going to set up a project with the children and call on partners to satisfy their curiosity. There will be experiences, outings…”

In foreign language and culture, it’s the return of evening Spanish classes and still English classes with five time slots and a new teacher, Anne McConnon, who has the advantage of having lived in the United States, ensuring a typical accent. She was a teacher and knows innovative methods like Montessori.

The music has its share of novelty with the arrival of a new animator: Rémi Foulon. he will lead an electric and bass guitar workshop, and a second computer-aided music workshop. Known for his participation in the La Bonne Heure group and the Zen en Baie collective.
